As an aspiring fantasy fiction writer, my journey began with a simple story penned at age ten. Though years passed before I started writing deliberately, stories have always simmered in my imagination. From childhood through parenthood, the enchanting power of storytelling has held me spellbound. Some of my fondest memories are of gathering around my grandmother’s rocking chair with siblings and cousins, drinking in her tales of fantasy, magic, and myth—stories passed down from her own grandmother, weaving a tapestry of wonder that has colored my life ever since.

Throughout life’s transitions—from high school to graduate studies, from one city to another, and ultimately across oceans to a new country—books have remained my steadfast companions. Reading a good book, to me, is akin to savoring a fine wine: experiencing its varied notes, subtle flavors, and intricate complexities. Yet even more intoxicating is the art of crafting these literary vintages myself.

My current work, “Reign of Pawns,” is a fantasy fiction series that distills the essence of every story I’ve heard, read, and imagined since those cherished moments around my grandmother’s rocking chair. It’s a testament to the generational power of storytelling, bridging past and present through the timeless magic of words.
